Helen McDougald Wright

Helen McDougald Wright, age 77, of Oakwood, GA passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by parents, Rev. John and Ann Phillips McDougald; brother, Jacky McDougald.  Mrs. Wright is survived by her husband of fifty-six and half years, Douglas Wright of Oakwood; children, Tabitha (Henry) Allen of Cleveland, GA, Tim (Tammy) Wright of Clarkesville, GA; grandchildren, Austin (Lesley) Wright of Athens, GA, Dallas Wright of Oakwood, Cady Wright of Alto, GA; great grandson, Declan Wright of Athens, sisters-in-law Evelyn McDougald of Oakwood, Alethia Boone of Danielsville, GA; brothers-in-law Jerry Wright of Hoschton, GA, Dearl Seabolt of Hoschton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lonnie and Lisa Wright of Marietta, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Diane Dalton and Nancy Sullens.  Mrs. Wright was born on September 26, 1946 in Buford, GA.  She graduated from South Hall High School in 1964 and was a homemaker.  Mrs. Wright was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church in Hoschton.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 2:30 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Maddox officiating.  Interment will follow in the Broadlawn Memorial Gardens with Graveside Services officiated by Rev. Ricky Fields.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
