Dan Homer Allison

Mr. Dan Homer Allison, age 90 of Chestnut Mountain, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Memorial Park South Chapel with interment following at Hopewell Baptist Cemetery. Pastor Brian Hall, Pastor Billy McKinney, & Dave Harkins will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home. 

Mr. Allison was born May 21, 1933 to the late Homer Lee Allison & Bessie Pauline Cash Allison in Chestnut Mountain, Georgia. A veteran of the United States Army, a brick mason by trade, followed on to retire from Phillips State Prison as a brick mason instructor. He was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. He loved the Lord, his family, and his heritage. 

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lynda Allison of Chestnut Mountain; daughters, Dana Jill Allison McClure of Chestnut Mountain & Sandy Pauline (David) Harkins of Chestnut Mountain; grandson, Dave (Carly) Harkins; and great-grandchildren, Ila Grace Harkins & Jed David Harkins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chestnut Mountain Church.
