Mr. Jeffrey Alford Nunn, age 69 of Abbey Lane, Toccoa passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Stephens County Hospital.
A son of the late Leland George Nunn, Sr. and Ruby Jo Bonner Nunn, Jeff was born March 26, 1954 in Monroe, Georgia having grown up in Loganville, Georgia. He was a graduate of Tallulah Falls High School. Jeff received his bachelor's degree from Piedmont College, his master’s degree from Valdosta State University, and his Education Specialist degree from the University of Georgia. He retired from Stephens County School System as a special education teacher and also taught history. Throughout his educational career and even into his retirement, he looked not only to his own interest but also to the interests of others (Philippians 2:4). Jeff was of the Methodist faith. His hobbies included playing tennis, hiking, and history. Passionate about nature, he served as a member of the United States National Arboretum.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a twin brother, Gregory Adair Nunn.
Most notably, Jeff was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and family man. His survivors include his wife of the home, Gail Whiten Nunn; sons and daughter-in-law, Steven Brett Roberts of Eastanollee, Georgia and Rev. Chris and Amy Roberts of Toccoa; daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Matthew McCauley of Winterville and Natalie and Dillon Pressley of Commerce; grandchildren, Haley and Joseph Brown of Sautee, Luke Roberts, Jesse Roberts, and Gavin McCauley; brothers and sister-in-law, Leland, Jr. and Patricia Nunn of Eatonton and Charles and Kathy Nunn of Marietta; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael and Jada Whiten of Toccoa and Randy and Debbie Whiten of Anderson, South Carolina; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Randy Shirley of Martin; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 2 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home. The Reverend Christopher Roberts will be officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Steven Roberts, Matthew McCauley, Dillon Pressley, Jesse Roberts, Michael Whiten, and Randy Shirley.

Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Jeffrey Nunn.
