Mary Cofer Adams

Mary Cofer Adams, age 89, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bennie Adams, Sr., son, Bennie Adams II; parents, James Thomas and Paralee Evans Cofer; sisters, Gladys Autry, Montine Wilkins, Dean Holman; brothers, Gene Cofer, James Cofer, Jackie Cofer, Grady Cofer.  Mrs. Adams is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Tony) Jenkins of Tignall, GA, Melissa Stephens of Duluth, GA; grandson, Nick Jenkins; great-grandson, Jacob Jenkins; great-great-granddaughter, Addilyn Jenkins; sister, JoAnn Cofer Sargent of Dawsonville, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.  Mrs. Adams was born on August 27, 1934 in Dacula, GA and graduated from Dacula High School.  She retired as a secretary for Scientific Atlanta, Health and Benefits Department.  Mrs. Adams was a member of West Buford Baptist Church and her greatest joy was to worship her Lord.  She loved her family, her church family, friends, and her dog Mitzi. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Jerry Bennett and Rev. Mike Hosch.  Interment will follow the service at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Flanigan Funeral Home.
