Mitchell Lapleau McIntire

Mitchell Lapleau McIntire was called home by our heavenly Father on January 16, 2024. Born in Gainesville Georgia on April 8, 1997, Mitchell led an extraordinary life. Everyone who knew Mitchell was always happy to see him. Known for his honor, his integrity, and his intelligence. Mitchell was a friend to all. He became an eagle scout out of troop 26 at the age of thirteen. He graduated from Lakeview Academy in 2015 where he played varsity football and baseball. Mitchell loved his teammates and his coaches at Lakeview. At graduation he was awarded both the Faculty cup and the Crumley cup. Mitchell attended Georgia Tech where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. He graduated with honors from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in 2020. He then began his career at Ernst and Young in Atlanta, where he was quickly promoted to Senior Consultant in emerging technology. Like everything else he pursued, Mitch became an
avid Yellow Jacket fan and was so excited to see his teams make the post season in several sports.

Mitchell is survived by his father Dr. Jeffrey McIntire, mother Monica McIntire, sister and brother-in-law Megan and Matthew Douglas, grandfathers Dr. Leon McIntire and Don Mitchell, numerous cousins, uncles, and aunts. His memory will live on through all the lives he touched and people who dearly loved him.

In memory of Mitchell a visitation will be held on Friday January 19, 2024 at Little and Davenport funeral home from 4pm until 6pm. A memorial service to be officiated by Father Tim Hepburn at St Michaels Catholic Church on Saturday January 20, 2024 at 1pm with interment to follow at Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville Georgia.

Those wishing to remember Mitchell may donate to our local Saint Vincent DePaul Society via the Saint Michaels website to help members of our community in their time of need, a fitting bequest in memory of such a caring soul.
