Michael "Mikey" Hewell

Michael “Mikey” Hewell, age 46, of Helen, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

Mr. Hewell was born on September 28, 1977, in Hall County, to Joseph Ross Hewell and Deborah Wade McEntire.  He was self-employed in the construction industry and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend to all.  He was loved by everyone who knew him.  Mikey was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Rev. Teddy Allen.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Maranda Hewell; son and daughter-in-law, Jereth and Tiffany Hewell; daughter and son-in-law, Hannah and Will Havlen; mother and step-father, Deborah and Eddy McEntire; father and step-mother, Ross and Shelia; grandchildren, Kylee, Kamden, Rosalie, and Theo; siblings, Joseph Hewell, Shawna Weatherly, Jacquine Hewell, and Jessica Holbrooks; mother-in-law and step-father-in-law, Cindy and Stanley Holcomb; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Amanda and Tim Hughes.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Big Foot Event Center – 26 Carolina Springs Road, Sautee, GA 30571.  The Rev. Jacob Anthony will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
