Mrs. Shirley Jean Douglas, age 85 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 22, 2024 at Memorial Park South Chapel with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Pasto Jeff Bagwell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Mrs. Douglas was born May 12, 1938 to the late Ronald R. Patterson & Frances Eslinger in Dandridge, Tennessee. She attended Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Danny Douglas, Jr. & Robert Douglas; sister, Susie Wiley; grandchildren, Tyler Coffee, Alie Coffee, Brooke English, Shelby English, Ester Douglas, & Danielle Kies; great-grandchildren, Tegan Stringer, Kailey Kies, Hunter Kies, Dustin Wallace, & Declan English; brother, Thomas E. Patterson; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Meredith Douglas; son, Jean Frances Douglas; daughter, Judy Douglas-Cowan; and brothers, Billy Ray Patterson & Guy R. Patterson.
