Charles Edward “Ed” Campbell, age 75 of Lula, GA went to meet Jesus on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
Born on March 7, 1948 in Commerce, GA, Mr. Campbell was the son of the late W.A. and Nettie Shubert Campbell. He was retired from Cargill of Gainesville, GA, with 36 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. He achieved 50 years of service as a Master Mason of the Phi Delta #148 Masonic Lodge and had served with the Shriners. He was preceded in death by brothers, David Campbell and Kenneth Campbell.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Virginia Pittman Campbell; and his daughters, Tammy (Clint) McCoy of Maysville, GA, Julie (Jason) Towe of Lula, GA; grandchildren, Ashley (Roger) Boswell, Caleb (Abbey) McCoy, and Ava Towe; 2 great-grandchildren, Journey Boswell and Baby Boy Boswell. He is also survived by a brother, William Campbell of Lula, GA.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, January 19, 2024 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel, Commerce, GA, with Rev. Saul McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Silver Shoals Church Cemetery, Lula, GA. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until the funeral hour Friday at the funeral home.
