Etta May Rogers

Etta May Rogers went to rest on Monday January 15th.  A longtime resident of both DeLand, FL and Pensacola, Fl., Etta moved to Buford in 2011 to be closer to her youngest son.

Ms. Rogers was born September 22, 1934 in Reidsville, GA to John Minor and Annie Bell Threatt.  Etta was the oldest daughter of 9 children. She is survived by her Sister, Mamie Jungman Of Minnesota; Six Children, Joyce Crenshaw, Jenny (Elmer) Davids of Maricopa, AR, Hazel Colson of Orlando, FL, Betty Wheeler of Pensacola, FL, Timothy (Debbie) Turner of Orange City, FL, and John (Rachelle) Newsom of Dawsonville, GA; eight Grandchildren and ten Great-Grandchildren.

Etta May was generous and kind. She possessed an unparalleled strength and tenacity; believed in hard work, honesty and loyalty and loved her family and friends fiercely. 

She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.
