Timmy Lee Welch, age 61, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on January 14, 2024. He was born on December 14, 1962, in Dahlonega to the late Robert Welch and the late Mae Bell Satterfield.
Timmy is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Tonya Armstrong Welch; children Brittany Grizzle and Austin (Angel) Grizzle; grandchildren Gracie Lewis, Bolton Grizzle, Tinsley Grizzle, and Delany Grizzle; siblings Jeannette (Ronald) Thomas, Bobby (Pam) Welch, Debbie Allison, and Laura (Jeff) Maloof. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives also survive him.
Timmy was a passionate outdoorsman who loved being in the woods hunting. Despite being a man of few words, he showed a lot of love, especially to his wife, Tonya, and granddaughter, Gracie, who were his entire world. Timmy and Gracie enjoyed spending time together in the woods, building forts and creating memories.
Funeral services for Timmy Lee Welch are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, January 19, 2024, in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home, followed by interment at Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
