Edwin Lamar Smith

Edwin passed away from an extended illness on December 29, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Smith, parents Jeanette Smith and Jake McDowell and son Lorenzo Smith and Brothers Howard Smith and Kim Smith. Edwin was born and raised in Gainesville, GA and attended Gainesville High School. He also attended Homer Baptist Church. He loved music and sports. He especially loved his speaker from his son. This was comfort during his illness. Hie leaves behind four sons: Jontae Smith, Eric Morrow, Jimmy Scott, Jermaine Barnett and daughter Sabine Barnett. He leaves behind 6 grandchildren as well as his brother Jeffery Smith, Aunt Hilma Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.
