Mark Hicks (51), born on November 29, 1972, passed away on January 4, 2024, in Dahlonega, GA leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished moments. Mark is survived by his partner of eighteen years, Heather Crawford. His memory will forever be held dear by his mother, Brenda Hicks, and her partner, Al Adams, as well as his brother Eric Hicks and wife Toni Hicks. Mark is also survived by his brother Brett Hicks, nephew Enoch Hicks and partner Caitlin Wright, and niece Anna Cathryn Hicks. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Enoch Jerome Hicks, grandparents Loy and Lucy Seabolt of Dahlonega, Ga., and Gertrue and Enoch Ferrell Hicks of Marietta, Ga.
Mark, who grew up on Lake Lanier, had a deep love for boating and waterskiing, finding joy in being on the water. He was a man of many talents, Mark's hobby of cooking and grilling brought joy to family and friends. His skills as a contractor showcased his dedication and craftsmanship in every project he undertook. Mark graduated from Walton High School, in Marietta, GA, and attended North Georgia College in Dahlonega, GA.
Mark was a genuine soul and will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the love he shared with those closest to him.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Mark’s love of life at Anderson Underwood Funeral Home in Dahlonega, Georgia on Sunday, January 14 at 2 pm.
