Eunice "Nora" Lydia Gleason

With sadness in our hearts, we regret to announce the peaceful passing of Eunice “Nora” Lydia Gleason, of Gainesville, Georgia, at the age of 88, on January 8th, 2024. 

Her hand was held by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Dave Gleason. Her entire family was present, providing love and support in her final days. Her three kids, David, Kevin, and Kelly, and their spouses, Amy, Aaron, and Scott were there, as well as grandchildren Kyle, Kelsey, Shaun, Megan, and Karly with spouse Parker, and great granddaughter Kaya Nora; sisters, June Hall and Hannah Frolick also survive. 

Nora was born March 13, 1935, in Wind Gap, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Bartholomew and Ana Mae (Herritt) Bartholomew Masters.

Throughout her life, Nora was a giver. She was a source of light for everyone who knew her. She volunteered for meals on wheels, donated to countless charity organizations, and loved to celebrate others whenever possible. She will forever be the sunshine of our lives, the apple of our eyes. 

Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Reverend Dr. Stuart Higginbotham will officiate. Family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center 2150 Limestone Parkway Suite 222, Gainesville, Georgia 30501.
