Marcus L. Lingerfelt

Mr. Marcus L. Lingerfelt, age 66, of Commerce passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at home surrounded by family and friends.  Mr. Lingerfelt was born in Cumming to the late, Henry Ford and Mamie Inez Twiggs Lingerfelt.  He loved the Lord and would tell everyone he met how blessed he was.  He was never ashamed of his love for the Lord.  He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather to two sons and four grandchildren.  He was also a devoted Registered Beefmaster cattle farmer and was proud of his on farm Happy Days Beefmasters.  He mentored many ranchers to join the beefmaster business.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lingerfelt was preceded in death by his sisters, Louise Purcell and Edith Summerour; brothers, Robert Lingerfelt and James Lingerfelt.

Mr. Lingerfelt is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Brenda Lingerfelt of Commerce; sons, Casey Lingerfelt (Chasidy) of Murfreesboro, TN and Stacy Lingerfelt of Commerce, GA; four grandchildren, Autumn Harris (Nathan) of Jefferson, Chloe Lingerfelt of Murfreesboro, TN, Jett Lingerfelt of Murfreesboro, TN, and Serenity Lingerfelt of Buford; sisters, Kathy Parker of Commerce, Laura Sears of Clermont, and Joyce Banister of New Port Richey, FL; brother, Vernon Lingerfelt (Faye) of Carnesville.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 7^th at 3 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Brenson Jennings officiating with the interment following at Jackson Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 5-8 PM.
