Billy O. Langford

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Billy O. Langford, age 86 of Commerce, Georgia who entered rest Monday, January 1, 2024.  Mr. Langford was born in Pendergrass, Georgia a son of the late Oscar Newton “Buck” Langford and the late Wilma Gee Langford.  Mr. Langford was a U.S. Army Veteran and the owner of Langford Trucking for many years.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Langford is preceded by his wife, Sue Massey Langford, a brother, Kennth Langford, a nephew, Bryon Langford,  and step-son, Louis Dennis.

Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Lynn Langford (Vanessa) of Suwanee, Walter Lee Langford of Commerce.  Two brothers, Jimmy Langford (Brenda) of Maysville and Ricky Langford of Maysville.  Grandchildren, Micah Langford, Jessica Richardson, and Jenni Lyn Espina.  Five great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Thursday, January 4, 2024 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with his son, Lynn Langford officiating with burial to follow in Jackson Memorial Park, Commerce, Georgia.  The family will receive friends Thursday, 10:00 – 12:00 prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.
