Rex Jones Williams

Rex Jones Williams, age 62, of Oakwood, GA, passed away on January 1, 2024.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sherry Vanderford Williams of Hoschton, GA; daughters Amber (Brian) Arnold of Hoschton, GA, Lyndsey Williams of Hoschton, GA; grandchildren, Ella Arnold, Ian Arnold, Jaydon House, Anna Crenshaw; parents Frank and Ruth Williams of Alto, GA; sisters, Robin (Kent) Puckett of Alto, GA, Regina Williams of Homer, GA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mr. Williams was born on February 7, 1961 in Buford, GA and received his education at North Gwinnett High School, Suwanee, GA.  He owned Rex Williams Concrete Finisher for 25 years.  Mr. Williams was a member of Friendship Community Baptist Church, Buford, GA, and enjoyed boating, playing golf, music and woodcraft.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Friendship Community Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Ted Williams.  Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
