Charles Timothy Adams

Mr. Charles Timothy Adams, 73, of Gainesville, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at his residence following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at Wauka Mountain Baptist Church. Rev. Dwayne Smith, Sr.  and Rev. Adam Moody will officiate. Interment will follow in Wauka Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 and on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Born on December 5, 1950 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Salley Faye O’Kelley Adams. He was retired from Merritt Construction and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Sissum and brothers, Buddy Adams, Arthur Lee Adams, Johnny Adams, Larry Adams and Junior Adams.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Cathy Adams of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Angela Adams Shepheard and Larry of Gainesville; granddaughter, Charli Faith Shepheard of Gainesville; sisters and brothers in law, Lois Marlow of Dahlonega, Jeanise and Clarence Moody of Clermont, Elizabeth Stover of Murrayville; brother and sister in law, Jerry and Wanda Adams of Murrayville and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
