Martha Ruth Marite Morrison

Mrs. Martha Ruth Martie Morrison, age 69 of Commerce passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital.  Mrs. Morrison was born in Athens to the late, Wilson Amory and Ina Jean Phillips Williams. 

Mrs. Morrison was retired from the University of Georgia and was a member of Unity Christian Church.

Mrs. Morrison is survived by her husband, Mike Morrison of Commerce; sons, Lee Hill of Commerce and Daniel Morrison of Moultrie; brother, Phil Williams of Jefferson; and four grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, Dec. 31^st at 3 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Williams officiating with the interment following at Grey Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-3 PM.
