Evelyn "Nink" Holcomb

Obituary Date: Saturday, December 16, 2023
Evelyn “Nink” Holcomb, was born on August 23, 1948 in Gainesville, GA to the late Tommie & Sheba Watkins. Evelyn peacefully departed this world on December 16, 2023. She was 75 years old.

Evelyn graced the world with her presence by spreading love and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her journey through life was marked by kindness, generosity, an unwavering commitment to her family, and a lot of eye rolling (if you know…you know).

A devoted wife, Evelyn shared 53 years of her life in a loving marriage with her husband, Leon Holcomb, Jr. Together they created a home filled with love, laughter, and countless shared memories.

A nurturing mother and grandmother, Evelyn’s children and grandchildren were the recipients of her boundless love and guidance. She was the pillar of strength and support, and her legacy lives on in the values she instilled in her family.

In her role as a sister, aunt, and friend, Evelyn delighted in the joy of her loved ones. Her love knew no bounds as she embraced the role of caretaker. She embodied the essence of unconditional love by embracing her loved ones with open arms. Her love was marked by selfless sacrifice as she put the needs and well-being of her family above her own. She demonstrated the true meaning of love and devotion.

In addition to her love of family, Evelyn had a love for cooking. Cooking was her profession in life, but it was also her passion. Her cooking was not just a meal…it was an exceptional experience. She spoiled us with her meals, and we will miss them just as much as we’re going to miss her.
