Helen McAtee Young

Mrs. Helen McAtee Young, age 92, of Lawrenceville passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Lilburn.  Visitation will take place from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Private, family interment following. Father Sunny Punnakuziyil will officiate. Michael Byrnes, Deacon, will assist.

Mrs. Young was born April 3, 1931 to the late Emmett A. & Marguerite C. McAtee in Mobile, Alabama. A member of Saint John Neumann Catholic Church, she was retired from the City of Atlanta, as Supervisor in Finance.

Mrs. Young is survived by her children, James E. Young (Nancy), Michael L. Young (Giselle), Patrick J. Young (Janna), Laura M. Tinney (Dennis) & Lynne Y. Studer (Thomas); 13 grandchildren: 28 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Young, Jr and her 4 infant children.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (lls.org).
