Walter Leon Wilson

Mr. Walter Leon Wilson, age 86, of Commerce, GA died Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at his residence.  Mr. Wilson was born in Commerce to the late Clifford “Tip” and Grace Woodall Wilson.  He was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Alltel.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Gail Burroughs Wilson.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his son, Randy Wilson of Commerce; daughters, Amanda White and LeAnn Gray both of Commerce; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM, Saturday, December 16 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Manus and Rev. Guy Baker officiating.  Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 8 PM.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jackson County Senior Center Meals on Wheels Program, 151 Stan Evans Drive, Jefferson, GA 30549.
