Joseph Allen Bush

Joseph Allen Bush, 84, of Gainesville, GA passed away peacefully on December 9th 2023.

He was born September 10, 1939 in Augusta, Georgia. Known by his family and friends as "Joe", he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961 as a Communications Specialist. He spent part of that tour stationed in Istanbul, Turkey and later worked in the nation's capital. In the years that followed, he served his church as a preacher traveling to various congregations around Georgia and also conducted mission work in Jamaica. He retired from Citigroup Corporation.
          He is survived by two children; daughter, Deborah Allyson Sharts and her husband Steven Sharts of Bradenton, FL; son, Scott Daniel Bush and his wife Kathy Bush of Dallas, GA; Three grandsons, Daniel Bush, Matthew Bush and Joshua Barlow; sisters Cheryl Boyett and Kathy Craddock; Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by father, Willie Earl Bush Sr, mother, Evelyn Alona (Hayes) Bush, brother, Willie Earl Bush Jr, wife, Peggy Judith Turner.

His memorial service will be held 12:00 PM Saturday December 16th, 2023 at the Atlanta Road Church of Christ in Gainesville, located at 902 Atlanta Hwy, Gainesville, Georgia 30501.
