Ruby Elizabeth (Smith) Gilleland

Mrs. Ruby Elizabeth (Smith) Gilleland, age 93, of Clermont, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

Ruby was born, March 16, 1930 in Gainesville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Bill Smith and Bonnie (Sutton) Smith. Ruby was also preceded in death by her First husband, Charles Moore; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Margie Moore.

Ruby was a retired school bus driver for Hall County. She was a member of Wahoo Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Gilleland; children, Kenneth and Barbara Moore; Marvin and Barbara Moore; and Teresa Korinis; grandchildren, Matt and Diedra, Chris and Sheryl, Chuck, Anthony and Carol, Lane and Hannah, and Emily; Jason, Steven and Allison; Dominic and Cassie; Shaunte and Matt; great-grandchildren, Chelsey, Cameron, Abby, Gracie, Ruthie Bell, Colten and Ashley, Elijah, Levi and Noah; and a number of other family and friends also survive.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Wahoo Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Reverends Randall Hammond, Mark Stroud, Howard Payne, and Mark Wheeler will officiate.
