Darlene Poole Olson Nix

Darlene Poole Olson Nix, 77 of Gainesville passed away Friday December 1, 2023, at her residence.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Nix was the daughter of the late Wallace John and Geraldine Harris Poole.  Mrs. Nix was retired from the Northeast Georgia Medical Center where she worked as a nurse for a number of years before retiring.  She also served as a nurse in the United States Army Nurses Corp.  Mrs. Nix was a member of Whitehall Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Katie Olson, son-in-law, Stacey Turner, grandchildren, Kali Turner Dalton (Dylan), Logan Turner Millwood (Zane), Peyton Turner, Kennedy Olson, Kyler Olson and Ashlyn Turner, brother and sister-in-law, Marty (Lynn) Poole, sister and brother-in-law, Sue (Maxie) Ladd, sister, Rhonda Ryals, brother and sister-in-law, Scotty (Redenna) Poole. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Nix is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Tonya Turner, brother, Tony Poole, brother-in-law, Rev. Dwayne Ryals, and husband, Stanley Nix.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Timber Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Scotty Poole and Rev. Caleb Ryals officiating.  Interment will follow in Timber Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gregg Poole officiating.  The family will receive friends Monday December 4 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home.
