Aaron Stanley Gilleland, 70 of Gainesville died Wednesday November 29, 2023, at his residence.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Gilleland was the son of the late Francis A. and Cassie Mae Smallwood Gilleland. He was retired from Scientific Games, where we worked as an electrician and in the maintenance department. Mr. Gilleland was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Gilleland loved being outdoors and camping, he also was a very loving husband.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Hazel Gilleland, Gainesville, son, Bryan Gilleland (Buffy), Tifton, daughter, Elysha Hunter (Brian), Gainesville, stepchildren, Lisa Chambers (Donald), Gainesville, Dewayne Hulsey, Gainesville, Johnny Kenimer (Lori), Lumpkin County, grandchildren, Brock Hunter, Erin Gilleland, Danyail Maddox (Bradley), Hunter Chambers, Cole Hulsey, Brittany Clements (Travis), Cody Kenimer (Natalie), a number of great grandchildren also survive, sisters, Shirley Staton (Lamar), Gainesville, Sheena Harkins (Phil), Murrayville, sisters-in-law, Carolyn Moore, Lumpkin County, Janice Graham (Johnny), Gainesville, Judy Masters, Gainesville, Pam Brown, Demorest. A number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 2, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Pastor David Bost will officiate. Interment will follow at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday December 1 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
