Grady J. Fox, Sr., 76, of Buford, GA, died Tuesday, November 28, 2023. A funeral service will be held
Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 3 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Bobby McGraw will
officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends
Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 2 PM – 3 PM at the funeral home.
Grady is survived by his children, Jay Fox (Dorothy) of Buford, Rebecca Garrett (Todd) of Lawrenceville,
Grant Fox of Athens; grandchildren, Joshua Garrett, Justin Garrett, Kameron Garrett, Adam Fox, Rachael
Fox; and great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Garrett, Tati Garrett, Kaylee Garrett, Geniah Garrett, and Devion Garrett.
Grady was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Anne Belle Pugh, and his brother, Grant Pugh. He is survived by a brother, Tim (Deborah) Pugh of McDonough.
Grady was born April 19, 1947, in Buford, GA, and was a lifelong resident of the area and graduate of North Gwinnett High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and Air Force. After serving in Vietnam, Grady worked as a flight instructor for airplanes and helicopters at Mobley's Aviation. He also was employed at Executive Helicopters as a professional pilot. During Grady's career, he also served as a police officer for the City of Atlanta, Gwinnett County, and the City of Lilburn. Later in life, he was self-employed as a heavy equipment operator, a member of First Baptist Church Buford, and a resident of Heartis Suwanee.
