Billy Gene Holcombe

Mr. Billy Gene Holcombe, 89, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Drewery Loggins will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Monday, November 27, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on April 2, 1934 in Barnardsville, NC, he was the son of the late Walter and Bonnie Dodd Holcombe. He was self-employed in the Textile Industry. Mr. Holcombe was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served in the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Holcombe was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Holcombe.

Mr. Holcombe is survived by his son, Barry Holcombe of Gainesville; daughters, Debbie Miller (Todd) of Gainesville, Patricia Burnett of Asheville, NC; son, William Cordell (Debbie) of Asheville; grandchildren, Dustin Holcombe of Gainesville, Devin Holcombe (Coral) of Gainesville, Jonathan Miller (Brooke) of Gainesville, Brittany Anderson of Gainesville; Tonya  Pehrson (Doug) of Asheville, Tiffany Pittman (Tony) of Gainesville, Gracie Holcombe of Gainesville, Madison Swinson of Gainesville, Easton Peters of Asheville, Brittany Johnson (Hunter) of AR, Doug Pehrson of AR; 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
