Rena Danette Wilbanks, 60 of Mount Airy, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 23, 2023.
Born Fort Lauderdale, Florida on April 23, 1963, she was the daughter of Linda Gail Ludwig Sullins of Cornelia, Georgia & the late Woodrow (Woody) Wilson Coffee, Jr. Danette worked in property management for over 30 years before joining the City of Baldwin. She loved birdwatching, fishing, camping, music, and singing, dancing and working on projects with her husband, Sam. Danette was passionate about her Georgia “Dawgs” and Atlanta Falcons. She loved those close to her greatly and believed friendship and family were gifts to be treasured. Spending time and cooking for those she loved completed her world.
Danette is survived by her husband and first love, Sam Wilbanks; daughter & son-in-law, Dana Stephanie & Jason Pardue; son & daughter-in-law, Jonathan Floyd & Chrissy Ross; brothers & sisters-in-law, Woodrow (Sonny) Wilson, III, & Tonya Coffee; Robert (Bobby) Raymond & Teresa Coffee; grandchildren, Jonathan Chandler & Emily Campbell, Nylah Dae & Caleb McDonald, Cadence Evvey & Ashton Simmons, Jaydon Alexander Geier, and Emma Grace Ross; great grandchildren, Benson Campbell & Bexley Simmons; as well as her many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville with Rev. Matthew Butler officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery, 269 Mountain View Rd, Baldwin, GA. 30511.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour on Monday, November 27, 2023.
