Carol Dolores “Doodle” Potts

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Carol Dolores “Doodle” Potts, age 85, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Saturday November 18, 2023. Mrs. Potts was born in Winder, Georgia the daughter of the late William Glenn Simmons and the late Lou Rea Casper Simmons. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Roger Potts, sister, Jeanette Wilson and a brother, James Simmons. 

Mrs. Potts was a homemaker and attended Thyatira Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Dwayne Potts (Teresa) of Jefferson, GA and Roger Glenn Potts of Atlanta, GA. One grandchild, Ashley Young (Jake) of Madison County, GA. 

In accordance with Mrs. Potts wishes, she will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.
