Kathy Adams Cathey

Kathy Adams Cathey, age 73, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, in Gainesville, Georgia, following a sudden illness.

Kathy was born on October 31, 1950, at the historic Charm House in Clarkesville, Georgia, to the late L.G. (Linton George) Adams and the late Pauline Abernathy Adams.  In addition to her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Adams, and a great-granddaughter, Ada Rose Roberts.

Kathy is survived by her daughter and best friend, Amy Cathey, Cleveland; daughter, Jill Worley (Jamie), Sautee Nacoochee; son, Melvin Cathey, Cleveland; grandchildren, Carla Roberts (Brandon), Cleveland, Austin Cathey (Madi), Cleveland, Morgan Partin, Cleveland, Kody Partin (Adryanna), Cleveland; great-granddaughters, Eleana Roberts, Everleigh Cathey, Olivia Partin; great-grandson, Henry Partin; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Dwight Warwick, Cleveland; special daughter-in-law, Candace Swing; Furbabies, Mia, Lulu, and Daisy Mae; along with many cousins and family members.  Kathy was a lifelong resident of White County and will be greatly missed by her family.

Visitation will be held at Barrett Funeral Home, in Cleveland, Georgia, on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.  Graveside services will immediately follow at Mount Yonah Church Cemetery.  The Rev. Paul Flynn and the Rev. Scott Slaton will officiate.
