Janice Jones Butterworth

Janice Jones Butterworth, age 76, of Gainesville entered heaven peacefully Tuesday November 14, 2023 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.

Janice was born August 20, 1947 in Gainesville to the late Boyd & Grace Abernathy Jones. She retired from Northeast Georgia Medical Center where she worked in credit & collections. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Lula and was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Butterworth; sister, Doris Jones.

Left to cherish precious memories, son, Daryl (Tami) Butterworth; daughter, Kelly (Nick) Vitug; grandchildren, Brittany & Tryston Butterworth, Cohen, Addison & Emery Vitug; sisters, Shelba Jean Mullinax & Sarah Ann Gipson; a number of nieces, nephews & other relatives survive.

Graveside services honoring Janice will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday Nov. 16, 2023 at the Timberridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Maxey Ladd officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
