Thomas “Tommy” Franklin Slater

Thomas “Tommy” Franklin Slater, age 56 of Commerce, GA passed away on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023.

Born on Nov. 10, 1966 in Commerce, GA, Mr. Slater was the son of Clifford F. Slater and the late Delores McCoy Slater. He was a construction worker with Slater Construction, a member of Commerce Church of God, and was preceded in death by a brother, Randy “Pickle” Slater, and a sister, Tammy Slater.

Survivors include son, Randy Cole Slater; daughters, Chelsea Slater (Jake Morris), Jessica Swing; best-friend, Allison Watson; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held  2 pm Monday, Nov. 13, 2023 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Thompson, Rev. Douglas Duncan, and John Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Cabin Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-7 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
