Douglas B. Williams

Douglas “Doug” B. Williams, age 87, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Janie Williams.  Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 67 years, Claudette Williams of Lawrenceville, GA; Son, Keith (Naomi) Williams of Rome, GA; daughters, Melissa Wood of Rockwood, TN, and Chelsea Williams of Chippewa Falls, WI; grandchildren, Abbey Hays, Hunter Hays, and Tyler Wright; Several nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Williams was a 1954 graduate of Buford High School.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  Mr. Williams had a lifelong career with UA Local Union 72 Plumbers, Pipefitters & HVACR Technicians where he was Secretary/Treasurer for twenty-four years.  He attended Gwinnett Hall Baptist Church.  He also was an avid gardener. 

Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jody Everett, Pastor Rex Richards, and Reverend Debbie Cannon officiating. 

Interment with Military Honors will follow at Peachtree Road Baptist Church Cemetery, 142 Old Peachtree Rd. NW, Suwanee, GA 30024. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
