Peggy Annette Long

Peggy Annette Long, age 83, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023.

She was born in Hayesville, NC on October 26, 1940.  Peggy graduated from Hayesville High School in 1959. After high school, she was an Executive Assistant before becoming a mother and homemaker.

Peggy loved gardening, reading and cooking.  Her favorite pastime was traveling to the beach with her family.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Gene Long; Daughter and son-in-law, Gena and Tommy Evon; grandson, Christopher Evon; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Katy Bell; and a number of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 1-2 p.m. at Flanigan’s Funeral Home in Buford.  A celebration of life will follow at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel.  A reception will follow at the home of Tommy and Gena Evon in Clermont.
