Harold Edward Parker, Jr.

Our Dad, Harold Edward Parker, Jr age73, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 at his residence.  A loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, Vietnam veteran as well as a devoted admirer of all living things.  One of the kindest souls in the world, he faced every challenge with honorable strength and courage.  Early in life, he taught us the importance of hard work and instilled that same work ethic in us.  Being a man of strong faith, he also taught us the value of family, doing what is right, to always love others and shower kindness wherever we may go.  Dad left us with so much knowledge of nature and infused us with a passion for the outdoors along with knowing how to respect it and leave it as you found it.  For all these things we will forever be grateful and in honor of him and will pass them down for generations.

Mr. Parker was born to the late, Harold Edward Parker, Sr and Ruby Roberts Edge.  He is survived by his brother, Michael Parker (Robin) of Gillsville; sister, Suzanne Brewer (Ricky) of Gainesville; daughter, Tawana Carol Wood (Bryan) of Commerce; son, Matthew Shane Parker (Dana) of Lula; grandchildren, Matthew Christian Parker, Parker Lee Craven, Savannah Carol Craven, Harley Nicole Parker, and Shelby Leann Parker; seven great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews, he loved them all so fiercely.  Father, you are now at peace, Always and Forever.  No matter what.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7^th at 3 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Stacy Roberts officiating with the interment following in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 1-3 PM.
