Birdelle Cowart Lord

Mrs. Birdelle Cowart Lord, age 91, of Commerce, GA died Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.  Mrs. Lord was born in Commerce to the late, Hoyt and Mamie Williamson Cowart.  She was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle, and retired from Harmony Grove Mills.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lord was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Lord and son, Danny Lord.

Mrs. Lord is survived by her daughters, Brenda Barnett of Nicholson, and Rhonda Westmoreland of Commerce; brother, Jimmy Cowart of Nicholson; sisters, Betty Austin of Nicholson and Jenny Austin of Monticello; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3PM, Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Dyer and Rev. Toby Dyer officiating.  Interment will follow at Banks Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1-3 PM.
