Carol Eileen Campbell

Ms. Carol Eileen Campbell, 69, of Gainesville Georgia passed away on October 25, 2023 following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the chapel of Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 11 -1 pm. prior to the service.

Born on October 13, 1954 in Salem, Mass. Ms. Campbell was the daughter of the late Walter Ilgenfritz and Jean Monteath Fischer. She was retired as a special education teacher.

A beloved mother & grandmother (Nina) who was loved by many & will be missed by many more. Described as one of the most angelic, sweet, kind, and selfless women there is, a warrior. She was a stranger to none & and a friend to all. Her wish was to be scattered in all of the Earth’s most beautiful places. She will be remembered in the mountains, the oceans, the lakes, and the rivers.

Ms. Campbell  is survived by her daughter, Kathryn “Katie” Campbell of Gainesville; son, Matthew Taylor Campbell of Gainesville; Grandson, Parker Owen Campbell of Gainesville; brothers, Mark Ilgenfritz of Marietta, Scott Ilgenfritz of Tampa, Fla; and special pet, Murphy.
