LaRue Barber Adams

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. LaRue Barber Adams, age 88 of Nicholson, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, October 26, 2023.  Mrs. Adams was born in Royston, Georgia a daughter of the late Theron and Edna Mae Waddell Barber, was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, was a homemaker, poultry farmer and co-founder of Adams Tile and Terrazzo.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adams is preceded by her beloved husband Harold Dean Adams, grandsons - Josh and Jeb Adams, sister - Betty Jean Brock, brothers - Clyde and James Barber.

Survivors include her children, Kay David (Junior), Cindy Jones (Joe), Scott Adams (Janet), Kim David, Reuben Adams (Angela) and a sister, Robbie Adams.  Nineteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild also survive.

Cryptside services will be held 3:00pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens, Georgia with Brother Leon McLain officiating.  Mrs. Adams grandsons - Dustin David, Joseph Jones, Corey Jones, Kevin Jones, Brant Adams, Jake David, Luke David, Cody David and Seth Adams will be honored as pallbearers for their grandmother. The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:30 P.M. Saturday at Evans Funeral Home.
