Gary William Loyd

Mr. Gary William Loyd, 69, of Toccoa, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. David Simpson will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on September 3, 1954 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Jim Waymon Loyd, Sr. and the late Martha Jo Gibbs Loyd. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Loyd was a retired self-employed landscaper and of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Loyd was preceded in death by his sister, Deeleen Loyd Hill.

Mr. Loyd is survived by his fiancé, Jane Estes of Toccoa; sons and daughters in law, Brandon and Michelle Loyd of Gainesville, Willis and Ann Loyd of Gainesville; grandchildren, Preston, Carter and Meadow Loyd; stepchildren, Rebecca Vanderford, Matthew and Kate Lovell; step grandchildren, Karis, Hannah, West, Mille and Lucy Lovell; brother and sister in law, Butch and Janet Loyd of Gainesville and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
