Bobby Gerald Payne

Mr. Bobby Gerald Payne, 76, of Gainesville, passed away Monday, October 23, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Moore will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Born on February 19, 1947 in Decatur, GA, he was the son of the late Elbert and Molly Ergle Payne. He was self-employed in the construction industry as a dry-wall hanger. Mr. Payne was a member of First Baptist Church of Flowery Branch.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Payne was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Ayers, Kathy Amos, Linda Payne, Brenda Payne and Brother, Ricky Payne.

Mr. Payne is survived by his wife, Barbara Wilson Payne of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Sherrell and Michael Williams of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Rodney and Carmen Anderson of Gainesville; son, Shannon Key of Atlanta; brother, Charles Payne of Gainesville; grandchildren, Justin Cape, Hunter Cape, Kane Williams; great grandchildren, Blakely Cape, Lynlee Cape and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
