Richard Aubrey Ferguson

Mr. Richard Aubrey Ferguson, age 87, of Gillsville, GA died Friday, October 20, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.  Mr. Ferguson was born in Gillsville to the late, William Patrick and Lillie Mae Tate Ferguson.  He was a member of Midway Methodist Church and a transportation broker.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Davis; and brothers, Johnny Ferguson, Bobby Ferguson and Harold Ferguson.

Mr. Ferguson is survived by his wife, Nola Ann Abernathy Ferguson of Gillsville; daughter, Debbie Wheeler (Bruce) of Commerce; son, Greg Ferguson (Sandra) of Gillsville; sister, Joan Faust of Hartwell; brothers, Bill Ferguson of Springdale, AR, Jerry Ferguson and Jimmy Ferguson both of Gillsville; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM, Sunday, October 22 at Midway Methodist Church with Rev. Marshall Dale officiating.  Interment will follow in the Midway Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 4 to 7 PM.
