Lois Lucile Jamieson Hoopes

Lois Lucile Jamieson Hoopes, born in Storthocks Saskatchewan, Canada, December 1930, passed away October 16, 2023 surrounded by family in their home. She was preceded in death by her brother Craig Jamieson and Husband Robert M. Hoopes Jr.  Survived by daughters Daryl Russo, Wendy Hartnett and Melissa Dana; grandchildren Adrienne Armes and Travis Armes, Jennifer Guevara, Lauren Thompson and Anthony Dana; great grandchildren Madeleine Armes, Galilea Guevara, Henry Guevara, Benjamin Armes, Charlotte Guevara and Harper Thompson. 

Lois was part of the planning committee of the Hilton Hotel Corporation in Atlanta, starting as a secretary and moving to a senior sales manager where she retired at 65. She was passionate about her art and was an accomplished watercolor artist. Her work was featured in Pepin de Joie Art Gallery in Historic Buford. She was an avid supporter of St Jude’s Children’s Hospital and their cancer research. 

Her celebration of life will be held at Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, Georgia on Saturday October 21, 2023 at 2:30 PM for visitation and 3:30 Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
