Jim Adams

Jim Adams, age 77 of Lawrenceville, GA., left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 5, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Mary Adams, brother: Hamby Adams, nephew: Alan Adams and great nephew: Grayson Radford. Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 19 years, Marilyn and daughters: Heather (Nick) Litsas of Zirconia, N.C., Christen Cribbs of Valdosta, GA. and grandchildren: Nicholas, Ava and Arlo Litsas and Avery Cribbs. He is also survived by his sister: Mary Ellen Kimbrough of Douglasville, GA., sister in-law: Narvell Adams, several nephews, a niece as well as great nephews and nieces.

Jim Adams was born on June 12,1946 in Rome, GA. and grew up in Bremen, GA. Mr. Adams was a proud veteran of the United States Navy (USN) and served during the Vietnam War. He was employed as Director of Public Works with Rockdale County, before retiring in 2009. Jim enjoyed playing golf, spending time with family and his sweet dog, LuLu and traveling with his wife, Marilyn. He loved his church family at Sunrise Baptist and his favorite bible verse was John 3:16:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at Sunrise Baptist Church, 3000 Sugarloaf Pkwy. Lawrenceville GA. Visitation with family will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by the service at 2:00 pm.
