Jack Maurice Kapiloff

Jack Maurice Kapiloff, 98, of Cumming, Georgia passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on October 3, 2023.  He was born in Richmond, Virginia on June 28, 1925 to the late Harry and Molly Kapiloff.  Jack married the love of his life Azalee Dickerson, whom he met in Atlanta, Georgia and they enjoyed 70 years of marriage.

Jack is survived by his wife Azalee and his four children:  Gary Kapiloff (Cindy) – Cumming, GA; Cathy Poulsen (Jeff) – Harrogate, TN; David Kapiloff (Linda) – Gainesville, GA; Jill Kapiloff (Rochelle) – Kokomo, IN.  He has six grandchildren:  Bethany Batusic (David); Daniel Fraizer; Joseph Kapiloff; Taylor Kapiloff; Ethan Kapiloff; and Grayson Kapiloff.  He has two great grandchildren: Jack and Gemma Batusic along with many nieces and nephews.

The Memorial Service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery located at 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 on Sunday October 15, 2023.  Pastor Don Ormsbee from Lakewood Baptist Church will officiate.  Family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 1pm and the Memorial Service will start at 2pm, which will be followed by the gravesite burial & service.

Jack was a loving and devoted Husband, a caring and giving father, and one whom his grandchildren and great grandchildren brought him immense joy.  He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII from September 1943 through March 1946 in radio communications.  Jack loved the water, both the ocean and lakes, and lived on Lake Lanier for over 40 years.  He was also an avid dog lover and enjoyed their unconditional affection.  He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.  He has left an indelible impression on each of our hearts and lives.  Love now and always…
