Joseph Washington Jones

Mr. Joseph Washington Jones, 79, of Snellville, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Northside Gwinnett.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Born on February 22, 1944 in Blakely, GA, he was the son of the late William and Vera Mulkey Jones. He was retired as a glass worker.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Murphy Jones; sisters, Nellie Jones Allison, Rosa Jones Page, Vera Jones Kirkland, Cora Jones Evans, Margie Jones Temple, Winnie Jones Varnum, Evelyn Jones Temple; brothers, William Jones, Jr. and Elton Jones.

Mr. Jones is survived by his son, Joseph Jones of Eureka, CA; daughters, Janessa McNeely of Lilburn, Megan Ritchie of Cumming, Taylor Bettinger of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Robert Jones of Tucker; sisters, Martha Jones Enfinger of Blakely, Alma Jones Abercrombie of Conyers, Betty Jones Fogle of Anderson, IN; grandchildren, Kali McNeely, Parker McNeely, Caden Ritchie, Nora Ritchie and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
