Janet Denise (Nikki) Brackett

Janet Denise (Nikki) Brackett, age 60, of Gainesville entered eternal life on October 2, 2023. Nikki was born on August 11, 1963 to Johnny and Brenda Rider of Hall County, GA.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Scott Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Nikki was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Mercedes Brackett, her father Johnny Paul (Ann) Rider and mother, Brenda (Waldon) Hodges; brothers, Joey Rider and Bradley Rider. Nikki was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her loving daughter, Brooke Brackett (Kevin Sullens) grandchildren, Mason Brackett, Hayden Sullens and Brooklyn Sullens all of Murrayville; father of her children, Jerry Brackett of Gainesville; mother in law, Genell Thomas of Cleveland; grandparents, Robert and Ruby Murphy of Flowery Branch; brothers, Chris (Tonya) Rider of Orlando, FL, Rodney (Jennifer) Rider of Gainesville; sisters, Lisa Duane Bradley of Buford, Cassie Rider of FL; lifetime Best friend, Kitty Waldrep and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Nikki graduated from Gainesville High School, Gainesville, GA. she retired from Great American Loan where she was a friendly face to all her customers. Nikki always went above and beyond for all her family and friends. Her home was a welcome place for all. If you were down on your luck, she was there to pick you up and offer support and guidance. She was a loving mother and nanny, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved life and a fun game of pool, or an occasional trip to a casino. Her unfortunate medical conditions have been a very hard battle for the past 5 years, but she fought a hard fight. Her love and care for her family and friends will live on in the hearts of the ones who loved her.
