Mr. Eddie Fred Ramsey Jr. aka Eddie Jr. Easy, went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2023.
Eddie Jr. was born in Buford, Ga. May 28th, 1968, to the late Mrs. Josephine Ramsey and late Eddie Fred Ramsey Sr.
He attended Buford City Schools and was a 1988 graduate of Buford High School, where he was very active in football. He then went on to work for Sherwin Williams for over 20 years.
Eddie had a very kind as well as caring heart. He enjoyed playing cards (KNOCK, would tear a table down knocking so hard) with family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his immediate family and friends cooking out. He loved his football!
Eddie later met the love of his life, Mrs. Nita Stephens, they later married in Holy matrimony for 20 years, where they were blessed to be parents of Joshua Deshawn Ramsey. His wife and son was everything to him.
Eddie Jr. was proceeded in death by both his parents Josephine and Eddie Fred Ramsey of Buford, Ga. And one sister Maridean (Dinky) Strickland of Buford, Ga.
Eddie Jr. leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife Nita Stephens Ramsey and loving devoted son Joshua Ramsey of Gainesville, Ga. Special father-in-law, Sammy Lee Stephens of Gainesville, his siblings, Eddie Wayne Ramsey and Rhonda R. Ramsey of Buford, Ga. Two aunts, Eula Mae Brooks of Buford, Ga and Dianne Cunningham of Buford, Ga. Special nieces: Tennille Johnson(Darrell) of Savannah, Ga. Yunna Stripling(Adrian) of Newman, Ga and Shera Montgomery(Robert) of Buford, Ga. One nephew, Coytes Strickland of Buford Ga. Two special sister-in-laws, Angela Stephens(Jarron)Henderson and Cher Stephens(Tim)Watkins brother-in-law. Sister in law Janice Stephens. Several special cousins, Yolanda Jackson, Rufus Millsap, Eloise Ramsey, Tink Ramsey and Johnny Cunningham and a host of other relatives and close friends.
The visitation will be held Thursday, October 5th between the hours of 12-8pm. The family will receive friends between the hour of 7-8pm at Wimberly Funeral Home. Mr. Ramsey's Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 6th at Antioch Baptist Church at the hour of 11am. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
