Mrs. Virginia “Nan” Wilkinson Foster, age 84 of Mountain View Drive, Toccoa passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023 at her residence.
A daughter of the late Joe Harrison Wilkinson and Mildred Purcell Wilkinson, she was born October 17, 1938 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived most of her life in the Tates Creek Community of Banks County. She was a 1956 graduate of Toccoa High School and was retired from American Janitorial as a bookkeeper with a number of years of service. She was one of the oldest living members of Tates Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to the beach, cooking and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Alan Foster, brother, John Vernon Wilkinson, Sr., and by two sisters, Sue Wilkinson Looney and Mary Wilkinson Smith.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Stefanie and Bill Barrett of Tococa; son, Roger Stephen Foster, Jr. of Baldwin; grandchildren, Hannah and Ben Matthews, Foster and Mikhayla Westmoreland, Riley Westmoreland, Alex Foster, Ellie Foster and David Alan Foster, Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Avie Rae Matthews, Alaina Rose Foster and Scarlett Ava Foster; a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 3, 2023, 3 p.m. at Tates Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, John Smith, Ben Matthews, Foster Westmoreland, Riley Westmoreland, Alex Foster and David Alan Foster, Jr.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Tates Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Virginia Wilkinson Foster.
