Mrs. Sharon Christine Slater, 59, of Gillsville, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Born on January 2, 1964 in Mt. Pleasant, IA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Eugene and Martha Sharon (Greenup) Wilson. She was employed at Publix.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Slater was preceded in death by her sister, Roberta Ann Wilson.
Mrs. Slater is survived by her husband, Bobby Slater of Gillsville; daughters, Felicia Christine Carter (Earnest), Keisha Webb of Gainesville; grandchildren, Aiyana Morrow of Gainesville, Marley Tanner of Gainesville; daughter, Tamesha Hiles of Gillsville; sisters, Robin Jean Lewis of IA, Laurice Michelle Jones (Delbert) of Bloomfield, IA and several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
