Frank "Benny" Hawkins

Frank "Benny" Hawkins, age 74, of Murrayville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Benny was born on January 24, 1949, in Hall County to the late Frank Hawkins and the late Barbara Savage Hawkins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Dwight Hawkins and Britt Hawkins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Marie Hawkins of Murrayville, whose unwavering support and love provided him comfort throughout his journey. Benny leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by his children Chris Hawkins of Clermont, Lauren Hawkins-Swanson (Shawn) of Dahlonega and Anna Torres (Rod) of Dahlonega; stepson Nathan Boswell of Murrayville; niece and nephews, Jackie Hawkins, Janet Posten, and Justin Hawkins; as well as his grandchildren, Lillian Hawkins and Tesla Torres.

Benny was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and an active member of the Dahlonega Congregation. He dedicated countless hours to the door-to-door ministry, spreading the message of God's Kingdom.

Benny was known for his genuine, down-to-earth nature, dependability, loyalty, and courage for what is right. He had the ability to fix just about anything, a skill that endeared him to family and friends.

As we reflect on Benny’s life, let us remember his good example. His legacy of love, integrity, and resilience will continue to live on.
